Noha Emam


Noha Mousaad Elemam graduated from the German University of Cairo in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and Biotechnology with Highest Honors. She obtained her master’s degree in 2014 with the grade "Excellent" in Molecular Pharmacology. Noha was awarded a full-granted scholarship to finally complete her Ph.D. degree with Distinction in Molecular Medicine and Translational Research at the University of Sharjah, along with a dual Ph.D. degree from University of Lübeck, Germany in 2020. During the Ph.D., Noha joined the Immuno-Oncology group with Prof. Azzam A. Maghazachi, a well-known distinguished immunologist, the rheumatologist Dr. Suad Hannawi as well as Prof. Jennifer Hundt. She focused on assessing the role of NK cells in cancer and autoimmune diseases, with colorectal cancer and rheumatoid arthritis as models. Currently, Noha is a postdoctoral research associate at the Sharjah Institute for Medical Research at the University of Sharjah. She is working in multiple projects in the fields of immunology, breast cancer as well as COVID-19 infection. Noha published more than 35 research and review papers in high impact factor journals and participated in around 15 international conferences with oral and poster presentations. Also, she is a co-inventor in a patent filed in the US patent office as well as being a co-investigator in multiple grants at the University of Sharjah.
